Dual Enrollment
Take College Courses While in High School
Dual enrollment is available to eligible high school juniors and seniors who are interested in earning college credit. These credits also count toward a high school diploma.
Delaware Tech partners with school districts to offer College courses at a discounted rate during the students’ regular school day. Courses may take place at the high school, on one of Delaware Tech’s campuses or via distance learning.
What are the benefits of dual enrollment?
Students who participate in dual enrollment earn valuable credits toward completing an associate degree at Delaware Tech and continue on to complete a bachelor’s degree with our partner institutions. They can take courses that apply to high school requirements during hours that they are already in school. By completing a degree sooner, students can save money in the long run.
Why take dual enrollment with Delaware Tech?
Dual enrollment is a great opportunity to get a head start on college by taking college-level courses that meet both high school and college requirements. Delaware Tech offers dual enrollment courses in general education to fulfill common requirements for college freshman, but we also are distinct because our programs align to high school pathways of study. Through a combination of articulated credit for pathway completers, Advanced Placement scores, and dual enrollment, students can enter one of Delaware Tech’s academic programs with a full semester completed. Furthermore, Delaware Tech offers students up to three years of college tuition-free with the SEED scholarship with over 200 connected degrees that transition students into their junior year at various in-state and out-of-state institutions.
